Over the last few weeks, Manchester Evening News have been taking a look inside some of the best beauty advent calendars that money can buy - and they’ll save you a fortune on makeup and skincare in the long run. Our verdict: “Although it’s one of the more expensive beauty advent calendars I’ve been able to analyse this year, it’s one of the best too, featuring`brands and products I’ll genuinely use. There’s a really great variety included from makeup must-haves to TikTok sensations, each door truly holds a moment of beauty joy.” Clinique, REN, Nuxe, This Works and Lumene are some of the skincare brands included, each fitting a different purpose from overnight cream, revitalising cream, uplift serum and under eye brightening cream. One of my favourites so far, and not a brand I've tried before, is the This Works 'In Transit Camera Close-up' primer, it's light on the skin and gives enough blurring to prep before a full-face. The 12 days of Christmas traditionally represent the birth of Christ followed by the arrival of the Three Wise Men, 12 days later. This is typically the date when people take down their trees and the festive period is officially over - so why not mark that countdown with a little treat each day, too? Our verdict: "After The Rain is an incredible scent that feels like you’ve run in from out of the drizzle, popped the log fire on and begun to thaw out. It’s a warm hug in fragrance form, and I’m so thrilled to see it behind seven of the doors in this calendar. That’s another fabulous thing about these calendars, is that you can discover new and exciting products for less, before deciding if you want to commit to a full-size. Ted Baker's Advent Calendar is filled to the brim with indulgent bathing and beauty treats, as well as some limited edition festive surprises. Last year there were 24 products inside the advent calendar, while this year there are 27. However, comparing this year’s contents to last year, 18 products included are exactly the same, which could be good or bad depending on which way you look at it. But the OTHER thing you can do is celebrate the 12 days of Christmas with yet another advent calendar! That’s right, as if Christmas wasn’t exciting enough.
