About this deal

Besides the removable harness, the Grow model also has a couple of removable cushions so the seat will be very comfy for both infants and toddlers. Plus, while the LEAF includes a single infant insert, the two-piece LEAF Grow insert consists of separate head and body cushions, providing more options for adjustment as baby grows. The cotton material is incredibly soft and feels like it is really supporting the baby. There are no sharp edges and the seat doesn’t sag when the baby sits in it.

The biggest unique single feature of the Nuna Leaf Curv is the fact that it uses no batteries and therefore, there is no noise. This makes it easier for baby to sway to sleep faster! So, your baby will comfortably sway and the feeling mimics the one in which you hold the infant in your arms. There are two popular Nuna Leaf models: Curv which is the company’s initial product and Grow which is the newer version. The Nuna LEAF and LEAF Grow can be used for the same period of time, although the LEAF Grow's added features make it more feasible for toddler use.One the one hand the Nuna Leaf Grow is easy to store because you can remove the bouncer from the base. On the other, it is a bulky product (hence its great stability), so you need a decent amount of space to store it out of sight. Nuna makes two versions of its popular seat: the Nuna LEAF and the Nuna LEAF Grow, both of which provide about two minutes of motion after a gentle push. Smooth as a leaf in the wind, it sways your baby for over two minutes and brings modern chic to your home. From birth until the child can sit upright or can climb out unassisted. Discontinue stage one use when infant can sit upright, push up on hands and knees or climb out unassisted (age around 5 months) and is unable to walk. However, the upgraded model goes even further by introducing GOTS-certified inserts. GOTS stands for Global Organic Textile Standard. The dye is also child-safe. There are three components that can be removed and easily cleaned in the washing machine. I am talking about the following elements: the toddler’s seat, the infant insert, and the seat pad. The Product’s Recline Function

The padded insert is made from 100% organic cotton and the mesh underside of the seat keeps everything beautifully breathable. The whole seat is really soft and plush and cocoons your baby gently. Normal wear and tear such that would occur over extended product lifecycle usage such as natural fading of colors and breakdown of materialsOur tester put the bouncer through its paces by dropping it on the floor multiple times to see if it broke (it didn’t) and she also tried to push it over (replacing her baby with a bag of flour, first) to see if it could topple over. Again, it remained safe and sturdy. The bouncer doesn’t move around on any type of flooring – many bouncers tend to “wander” a little on some surfaces. We tested it on wooden floors and laminates, too, and it didn’t move at all.

The Nuna Leaf Grow scored top marks in our safety test. It’s easy to get your baby in and out of the bouncer and you can strap them in using the Velcro straps which are incredibly sturdy. The design means there is nowhere for your baby to trap their fingers when putting them into the harness. If only all straps were as scream-free. The Curv model comes with only one single recline position. This might be an issue because it might not be reclined enough or suitable for a sleeping newborn. The greatest safety feature though, is the simple fact the Nuna Leaf Grow is motion-activated, so there are no cords or wires for your baby to chew, or for you, as a parent, to trip over. When can the bouncer be used as a toddler seat? The Curv model can sway for up to two minutes at a time once you give it a gentle nudge. The Grow alternative was launched in 2021 and it is an updated and upgraded baby seat. Features such as the look and the soothing sway movement are present in both models. Our tester’s one-year-old loved the fact he could sit up straight in the bouncer (as you can adjust the height) and look at a book, which also gave our tester a few minutes to make herself a cup of tea – moments that feel really hard won in the early years.

Conclusion

The harness on the old Leaf Curv model can’t be removed, meaning your child would sit on top of it once they are able to sit upright and it isn’t needed to hold him in. This is all a bit lumpy and annoying, so on the Grow, the harness and cushions are removable – a big plus. Is the baby bouncer good value for money? Because the base of the LEAF is thinner than that of the LEAF Grow, the seat weighs about 3 pounds less. Product Use It also offers three recline positions, which allows for your toddler to sit upright while reading or playing in the chair. Because the LEAF has one fixed position, it may be too reclined for a toddler who wants to sit more upright.

Nuna recommends using the first stage from birth until your child can sit upright or can clamber out unassisted. Stage one includes the padded organic cotton insert and harness for extra support. What's the difference between the Nuna Leaf Curv and the Nuna Leaf Grow?

Where to buy

So which is better: the Nuna LEAF or the Nuna LEAF Grow? We'll explain the differences in this comparison. While both offer the same soothing sway and stylish look, the LEAF Grow adds a removable harness and three-position recline that makes it more comfortable for your child to enjoy through toddlerhood (and beyond, thanks to the seat's 130-pound weight limit!) In other words, you can use the Grow version until your child is old enough to sit upright and even climb out of the seat. Then, you can remove the harness so that the toddler can use the product while watching TV or enjoying a fairytale book. It’s safe to take off the safety system only when the child starts walking on his or her own.
