New in May 2023, the TURBO auger will fit any Quikpoint device supplied after 2012. About Quikpoint TURBO - the significant change when compared to the previous PLUS specification is the new TURBO auger, manufactured in steel and hardened after assembly. It features a reducing diameter spiral which now extends into the delivery nozzle. Field tests have shown improved mortar delivery rate along with the ability to process stiffer and more gritty mixes.Battery drills - a corded mains drill will always deliver better performance but there are numerous instances of battery drills being attached to Quikpoints. Handy for restricted or challenging jobs such as repointing chimneys. The QUIKPOINT DRILL-MATE MORTAR GUN is easily mounted to all 3/8 inch variable speed drills, corded or un-corded. With its auger drive and hardened steel tip-blades (to prevent plugging and vibrator feed), the DRILL_MATE can handle standard and pre-mixed mortars and makes anyone an expert pointer. The Quikpoint is a definite time and money saver. Just scoop mortar in to the 3 quart capacity hopper, pull the trigger on the drill and a continuous controlled bead of mortar can be applied up to 5 times faster than conventional pointing methods, to any masonry application. Mastic guns are prone to mix separation and clogging, especially with self-mixes - not a problem with the auger-fed Quikpoint.
