Men Are Generic, Women Are Special: Despite the substantial amount of Little Miss characters, the series is named solely after the men. Unspoken Retort: Mr. Clumsy causes total mayhem at Mr. Fussy's neat and tidy house for two weeks. When Mr. Clumsy moves on, Mr. Fussy says politely "It was very nice to see you", but the narrative says that he is thinking is "It's very nice to see you going". Little Miss Loud is a fellow Loudland resident of Mr. Noisy. As such, she only ever communicates by shouting at full volume. In Mr Men Annual No. 3, a story involving Mr. Uppity tells of how the gold belonging to the King of the Goblins was stolen. The King had hidden the gold under the mattress, which was rather silly of him: he should have kept it in the royal piggy bank.

Living Polyhedron: The Mr. Men and Little Misses are almost all shaped like circles, ovals, squares, rectangles, or triangles with arms, legs, and faces. Mr. Chatterbox is cured of his Motor Mouth tendencies by a magic hat that grows until it completely covers him every time he starts talking. But what he was thinking was "it's very nice to see you going".

Ridiculously Alive Undead: At the end of "Mr. Men: Adventure with Monsters", several Mr. Men and Little Misses enjoy tea and crumpets with monsters in a haunted house. Among the ones eating and drinking are a mummy, a vampire (who claims to have a Sweet Tooth) and a Frankenstein's Monster. Skintone Sclerae: Almost none of the Mr. Men or Little Misses are drawn with whites to their eyes (Mr. Sneeze is a notable exception).

Mr. Spendy was a jolly fellow who liked to spend his money, never saving for a rainy day, but his good green friend Mr. Thrifty and his family soon showed him the error of his wasteful ways and Mr. Spendy could go on holiday. Retcon: Mr. Snooty is described as the rudest person, though this was changed to "second" rudest once Mr. Rude was added. Mr. Messy appears under the titles Monsieur Sale (French), Don Lioso (Spanish), Meneertje Knoeipot/ Meneertje Sloddervos (Dutch), Ο Κύριος Τσαπατσούλης (Greek), 邋遢先生 (Taiwan), 너절씨 (Korean), Mr. Anniben (Welsh), Unser Herr Schlampig (German), Bay Dağınık (Turkish), Fætter Sjusk (Danish), Herr Rotekopp (Norwegian), מר שלומפר (Hebrew), Herra Subbi (Icelandic), and Senhor Desmazelado (Portuguese).

Birthday Episode: Dr. Thirteenth has her, Graham, and Ryan putting together a Surprise Party for Yaz's birthday. Mr. Rude often insults people for their flaws and whenever he goes in his car, he yells insults at people he passes and when he upsets Miss Tiny, Mr. Happy decides to teach him the hard way to be nicer to people. Mr. Small is the 12th book in the Mr. Men series by Roger Hargreaves. Mr. Small is a Mr. Man who lives under a daisy at the bottom of Mr. Robinson's garden. He eats very enormous meals, and talks to Walter the Worm about getting a job. He then meets Mr. Robinson, who tries to get him a job. They try putting mustard in mustard jars, and they try putting matches into matchboxes. Neither job goes well. It's decided the best job for somebody so small is writing children's books. Mr. Robinson introduces Mr. Small to a friend who writes children's books (referring to Roger Hargreaves) and writes a book all about himself. This Mr. Men book breaks the fourth wall. Mr. Silly is the 10th book in the Mr. Men series by Roger Hargreaves. Mr. Silly is a Mr. Man who lives in Nonsenseland, where the trees have red leaves and the grass is blue. Every year there is a contest for the silliest idea of the year, and Mr. Silly cannot think of one. On the way, he meets some of the animals that do human activities and say the wrong sounds. Mr. Silly wins the contest by painting all the leaves on the trees green. Teach Him Anger: Mr. Grumpy attempts to do this to Miss Sunshine in "Little Miss Sunshine keeps her smile".Surprise Party: Dr. Thirteenth has setting one of these up as the plot, with the Doctor, Ryan, and Graham deciding that invoking this trope will make a standard birthday party (for Yaz) more fun. Gentle Giant: Mr. Tall is very sensitive and self-conscious about his height, and has to be convinced by the other Mr. Men that his long legs are an advantage.
