About this deal

The amount of sexual violence - both real and threatened- in this book (which is really a novella) is extremely off-putting. The fact that it is being marketed as YA even more so. I hated this book because of it, and the fact that it didn't even need to be part of the plot is infuriating.

In desperate need to be just as good a hover race car driver as his older brother, Bug, Jason joins the International Race School. There, his skills will face the ultimate test. years ago, Cassie and Arnold were alone at the family home in Texas when two of the Fury's sons, the Fury of Odessa and the Fury of Kazan, broke into the house. Odessa and Kazan admitted that their government's agencies have little intel on Cassie, and their intent to gift both her and Arnold's heads to their father. Despite an attempt at fleeing, Kazan managed to snatch Arnold from Cassie and broke his spine with a single punch, crippling him. Before the brothers could move in on Cassie, Cobalt returned home and swiftly killed the two Furies, later having their severed heads delivered to the Russian embassy in Washington. This incident prompted the family's relocation to a new home in Montana. Within the small group of VIPs and journalists invited for the unveiling is Dr. Cassandra Jane “CJ” Cameron, a reptile expert and writer for National Geographic. The New York State Library is a quiet hub of knowledge, full of endless towering bookcases that have been there for a century. I have adored the author's writing style for years as he takes his time setting up the stakes for the adventure while fleshing out the characters judiciously so that the story gains from it. However, in his recent outings, including the atrocious movie 'Interceptor' written by the author himself, he has resorted to cliches built upon cliches ending in stale action set pieces. Cobalt Blue is another outcome of the same. To survive, he will have to face and defeat unspoken horrors. Failure is not an option, for the fate of the world depends on it.

Cobalt White does not have a dedicated coloured text section, instead sharing the same purple text as her twin, Cobalt Purple, likely due to the difficulties of using white text. There is however a team testing some equipment in the Arctic, a team under the command of a Marine captain named Shane Schofield, call-sign: SCARECROW.Why did the Cobalt children not just immediately join forces? Still would've made for an epic story and considering how smart we're constantly told they are, why was this not a contingency plan already in place?
