Going by the scent notes I thought that I'd really enjoy Wave 2, but I've found that the strong floral notes do separate me from the beachy memories that the fruity opening brings. I really enjoy the beachy feel of the base, but the lingering florals do take me out of the 'beachy haze' a bit. The fragrance opens with an electric spark of juicy citruses notes. Making way for wild orchid, sunset hibiscus and California Poppy. Warm, enveloping woods and amber create the perfect balance in the base illustrating the warm summers evening. Product Specification I wonder why Fragrantica doesn't have the main accords or the notes of this fragrance cause I'm super curious what they would be. To my inexperienced nose it's pineapple, coconut, musk, and wood. It's classified as an amber fougere so I guess it has amber and maybe lavender. And the whole thing is wrapped up in a slight iciness or menthol/cooling vibe. It's summer beach bar goodness in a bottle.

Downsize is that the sillage and performance is very poor! Like others have said, I can also keep spraying, and still, it turns into a skinscent shortly after. Such a shame. SUMMER EDIT: it's still very subtle and a skin scent to me, but I've just found out that the smell of vanillaish candy/caramell I get every time I'm in the car, must be this perfume I sprayed on in the morning. So now I get a base.... This is my shameless "I want to smell like a boy" smell. That's all there is to it. It's very shower gel-y, very bright. Knowing the target of Hollister, I was not expecting a sophisticated, gourmand fragrance. Yet, it has a special appeal, it smells like other fragrances out there, but it's " hypnotic" in a way, feels clean, masculine, leathery, slightly herbal with a touch of sweetness. It took me by surprise when I realized that this fragrance gets better as it gets closer to the middle notes and dry down. Like a grown up cologne, who knew! Years ago when I used to work at Hollister, we would douse the store in this stuff. I know people hated that but honestly it was so much fun lol I wonder if they still do that. This smell brings alot of nostalgia for me and honestly smells really good.I could call myself a summer scent collector (and user of course), since I spend such a large amount of the year travelling in countries with pretty hot and humid climates. I was really impressed with enormous sillage and even better longevity for such a cheap perfume. A musk base cologne. With a generic masculine smell, with a touch of sweetness. On its own merits, the scent is excellent for a beach day. It is overworn by the teenage Hollister crowd, so it may associate with a younger audience. However, at 23 I still spray this occasionally during the summer and it gets complements when applied conservatively and allowed to dry down.

Very pretty, although a little thin, longevity is not the worst (I can smell it for at least 5-6 hours) but it doesn't smell like a proper perfume no matter how much I spray on, too watered down. I like how I can layer it with matching body spray and use a ton, sometimes that's what I want, but with this one I could spill the entire bottle on myself and it would probably still not be enough. |Wave 2 For Her by Hollister is a Floral Fruity fragrance for women. Wave 2 For Her was launched in 2017. Top notes are Coconut Nectar, Peach and Mandarin Orange; middle notes are Tiare Flower, Water Lily and Pink Freesia; base notes are Sand, Driftwood and Orchid. The floral notes are much more defined in Wave 2 in comparison to the original Wave, which will likely be the point that makes up your mind over if you like or disconnect from this fragrance as everyone's beach locales vary on where you live and everyone has different beach memories; I live in the north of England so don't have lush floral coastlines, and my strongest beach memories are of lotion and fruity drinks.

|Now that I'm building up a bit more of a modern designer collection, I'm not sure I'll be keeping this guy in my rotation, but its given me quit literally, like 15 years of off and on solid service, and I commend that. Probably the longest running scent I've had over the years. I think if I'm honest with myself, I will hardly ever reach for this as I am a gourmand lover at heart, but I respect it and it almost hurts me a little to resell it. If it weren't for the strong presence of patchouli after it dries down, I would probably keep it. And to be clear I think the patch fits very well here; I just have never liked it.

Love: the scent!!! It's so perfect for a teenage guy and it smells exactly like the hollister shops. It is just delicious.Believe the people who say this has ridiculously short longevity. It’s not just their skin. This won’t last longer on you. It’s unbelievable how it just disappears!

However this can work anytime of year because it dries down to floral, wood and musk. its very chill. And even the scent is very nice girly-like fresh fruity sweet scent. Not particulary my style but I wouldn't be disappointed if getting it as a gift at all :) nice one! Cheap, spray as much as you wish, hot day scent that you can bring with you on vacation. This is a perfect swimming scent, and one you can again OVERSPRAY.This is a nice variation among my summer scents though, since I don't usually go for the aquatic and salty ones. Great for use at the beach with that salty beachy sea salt vibe in it. I first bought Hollister SoCal in college. At the time, I was about 19 years old and actually wore clothes from the store. SoCal was and still is the scent that is sprayed on the clothes. Even though I don't wear Hollister anymore, I still wear the cologne nostalgically. This is a summer cologne that reminds me of the beach - not the water itself, but the experience of basking in the sunlight on a hot but relaxed afternoon. This fragrance is made for a girl with youthful spontaneity and personality. Days spent with her friends mean everything to her, as they plan their fun around the sun.
