Not only I was surprised by the usefulness of the content but I was also impressed with the Audible narration once I have bought that version as well to listen to the book during my long car drives. The narrator is excellent and his enthusiasm and passion match the message of the book. I felt as though I was at a motivational seminar. The book wanted me to be energised, motivated, believe in myself and take action. The book is perfect for anyone who is keen to clarify and define their position in their industry and become someone who is recognised for the work they do and the person they are.I have never regretted it for a minute. In just over a year on from doing the programme, our business went from one employee and one virtual PA to five employees. Step into the inner circle of your industry. Join Daniel and his guest speakers who’ll share practical strategies to increase your influence, stand out and scale up in business, including: We’d experienced good growth in the business. Our client numbers had been good, and our team kept growing. But after four years of working on the business, I still didn’t have the reach that I wanted, and I didn’t have any idea about how to make the type of impact that I wanted to make. I realised that we were spending so much time getting new clients all the time, and although our client numbers were growing, it seemed like an endless process and I wanted to be able to do so much more. Been featured in Entrepreneur magazine, Business Insider, Property Investor Today as well as national newspapers including The Telegraph, The Daily Mirror and The Sun and others. I have just finished it and I am reading it a second time, there are lots of gold nuggets. The best thing of all is that it is a very simple read and it explains 5 major areas that need to be examined. Best read for 2017 for me.

The quality of the teaching is amazing. Something I’ve never experienced before. You’ve got these driven entrepreneurs with lots and lots of questions, and there’s not a single question the mentors are fazed by. They’ve been there, they’ve done that, and they’ve got a system in place to help guide you along.Design a powerful pitch that inspires you, your potential customers and potential partners, guided by our proven pitch architecture There is no value in coming up with an idea that doesn’t solve a problem in a better way than is currently available. There’s no point pitching an idea unless you understand what the problem is that you’re able to resolve. You’ve probably been asked this question a million times. By your clients, at the gym, by your cab driver and even at bars & restaurants. But what answer do you give them?

Each one is covered in detail throughout the book. Moreover, the framework is a fantastic way to ensure you complete each step one at a time. It enables you to layer on top of the work you’ve done so far. It is written in a simple, easy-to-digest way but causes you to constantly think and rethink about the best way for you to establish yourself as a KPI in your industry. Take 30 minutes to read, 10 minutes to write about what you learned, and 5 minutes teaching someone else for the best retention Final Thoughts There were many moments within the book that justified reading it, one of my favourites was the statement that Key Persons of Influence look for partnerships and not for clients. A real game changer. In truth, I can’t see how any entrepreneur would not get value from reading this book and gain some useful hints and tips to improve their personal brand and develop their business. I joined the Key Person of Influence Accelerator in November 2019 and it’s one of the best investments we’ve ever made in our business. What I learned in the Accelerator helped me see our mountain of value and share it in a more intentional way which has transformed what we do and the impact we have. There are always a few nuggets in anything you read. This book follows the common format of spending about a third of the book selling the book and then work to systematize the secrets of success in a five step formula. Though there are good fundamentals for those early in their career or taking the initial plunge into independent consulting or solopreneurship, I found much of the book to be very basic and to be centered on the quest to build a digital business leveraging many of the now-common tech and platform channels. Perhaps that is simply a reflection of the book's age as it was published in 2016. KPI stands for ‘Key Person of Influence’. The book aims to support entrepreneurs who want to ‘make a dent’ and build fantastic lives and businesses, to do so by teaching them how to become ‘key people of influence’. Daniel does this by his 5 ‘Ps’:

The formula is referred to as the Five Steps. The author goes into each step in detail to ensure you understand how to execute each. The business I’m in, and the business most people are in, is very crowded. And I think it’s really important for people to recognise that they can stand out and they can distinguish themselves and set themselves apart from others by becoming a Key Person of Influence.”

An hour of inspiration is worth more than a week of drudging on. A day of creativity will do more for your career or business than a month of hard work." Your pitch must be clear to your audience. They need to understand who you are and why you are worth listening to. You might state something that reinforces yourself or you might be introduced by a respected friend. If the person doesn’t think you’re credible in the first few seconds, then you’ve already lost their interest. I am selective about the business books I read so was thrilled to find that this one exceeded my expectations. I found this book very liberating for one reason - the suggestion that you don't build your business by employing staff but by outsourcing work to subcontractors. I believed (from prior business coaching) that I needed to employ people to make my business grow and this has caused me no end of stress and expense over the last eight years. Now I know I can do it differently and still have a good chance of being successful at it. People don’t buy anything unless it solves a problem. They might not describe it that way; they might say they have a need, a want or a desire. The deeper truth is they only buy things that fix an unmet need.
