However, there are several kanji variations with the most suiting one being "graceful jewel" ( 雅珠 , "graceful jewel" ?), due to the fact that Magical Girls store their Soul Gems in accesories or rings. Phonetically, it sound similar to "mommy", referencing to her big sister role to Madoka and Sayaka as well as her close relationship with Nagisa Momoe in The Rebellion Story. The Lovers is not only about love, but also two rather different options (the original card was a man having to choose between two ladies after all). Sayaka has the choice to agree with Homura and Kyouko, but refuses. On the other hand, Kyouko wants to help Homura at last.
