About this deal

Some extra life is achieved by Sonicare I believe via the quieter and possibly more efficient motor as well as the automatic power off feature, something Oral-B does not have. Which is the most innovative? The accessory pouch is velcro-lined but barely fits the handle, a brush head, and a small tube of toothpaste. Because of that, I’d say it’s best for overnight stays with a fully charged Oral-B 7000 electric toothbrush. Bluetooth Function If I have a clean fresh feeling mouth, then I tend to find I feel better, more confident and motivated. Compatible with Oral-B brush heads for every oral care need: CrossAction, FlossAction, Precision Clean, 3D White, Sensitive Gum Care, Deep Sweep, Dual Clean Clinical studies such as this onesuggest a marked difference in the clean offered by the oscillating rotating brush compared to the sonic option.

I do think the iO7 is the better toothbrush all things considered. But, it ultimately doesn't clean the teeth better. You are getting a nice design, some extra features, etc which are far from essential. It can take some time to get used to the increased power and cleaning motion, if you haven't used an electric toothbrush before. You don’t have to use the app at all if you don’t want to. Even if you do, you don’t have to use it all the time; the brush itself can store the data for up to 20 cleans.

The dynamic 3D movement helps adapt to your teeth as it oscillates, rotates and pulsates to break up and remove up to 100% more plaque than a manual toothbrush. The Oral-B 7000 electric toothbrush features a display panel on the handle. This panel shows the battery charge and Bluetooth status. Generally speaking, Sonicare brushes have a more clinical look and feel to them. Many of them are a matte white with very mild/soft color accents on the power buttons and occasionally a rubber grip. A normal clean lasts for 2 minutes and you should spend 30 seconds cleaning each of the 4 quadrants of the mouth. Most Oral-B and Sonicare brushes have both timers built-in. The 30 second pacer is a pause in the brush head motion that in turn changes the sound emitted from the brush. It has not been designed to be easily repaired by yourself. Trying to replace parts like the battery will likely break the brush. This makes it more likely to be discarded rather than repaired if broken. One thing to note about the rechargeable models is that they work with a variety of snap-on toothbrush heads, so you can choose the one you prefer. Version B of the Type 3742 Smart Guide has a letter B at the end of the string of numbers marked inside the battery compartment on the ridge between the two batteries. Sonic brushes from Philips Sonicare are a bit quieter but not hugely quieter. The pitch is different. If you look at this purely from the ability to clean the teeth, then Oral-B is the best at cleaning the teeth. I covered this in the brushing technology section of the article.

If you’re concerned about noise, look for an electronic toothbrush that runs quietly. Some models are naturally more noisy than others. The Oral-B 7000 electric toothbrush pairs with the Oral-B app and Smart Guide device via Bluetooth, a feature only the Oral-B 5000 shares. It offers the most brushing modes of its competitors, complete with vibrating and oscillating brush head action. The sides of the handle are a gloss white plastic, with the full rear of the brush being covered in a soft touch white rubber with circular impressions which helps the hand and fingers grip the handle. It looks and feels good. It can be tempting to bear down when you’re brushing your teeth. The practice of overbrushing can cause something called “toothbrush abrasion.” Over time, it can wear down the protective enamel on your teeth and cause your gums to recede. For this reason, dentists often recommend electric toothbrushes for those who have the tendency to overbrush. A pressure sensor will take the overall benefits of electric toothbrushes one step further by alerting you if you press too hard. Some models make a pulsing sound to alert you when you’re brushing too hard. You’ll also get a pressure sensor with other models. However, that one may be a little less convenient since it temporarily stops pulsing altogether when you brush too hard. It might sound silly, but think about it, if you take care of your body, it will often take care of you. There is a Professional Guidance feature allows you and your dental professional to work together. Actually, share and discuss improvement areas and have your dentist actually program into the app extra brushing time and adjustments to your cleaning modes. Hi.
