You can try again, but you may have to chase them down again. Why is this critter making me chase it still? The scritter is a rare occurrence that usually spawns in the sculk growths. It can also spawn elsewhere in the deep dark, but that's extremely rare. When found in the sculk growths, it's usually found alone; however, scritters can be found in groups of 2-3 when seen outside of its native biome. You can also tame critters, which is purely cosmetic, but once they're your friend, you'll be able to have one of them follow you around as a companion animal — and you can pet them, too!
