About this deal

Thank you to NetGalley, Berkley Publishing Group and Camilla Way for an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review. There are so many secrets and lies it will make your head spin. This book kept me guessing until almost the end, when I figured out one of the main “connections” and because of that the end felt a little flat to me. It also seemed to almost be setting the reader up for a follow up? Don’t know if this is the case or not. This would have been a 5 if not for the rushed ending which left so many threads hanging, but perhaps this was the intention. T]he construction and pacing are solid, staying just far enough ahead of the reader to be fun, and offering, in the last quarter, a buffet table of twists.”— New York Times Book Review

Great, My." I could hear the grin in his voice. "Let's stay up late tonight and talk until dawn, okay?" They won’t speak much about Emily, but they are so haunted by her. I would imagine a disappearance may in some ways be harder to get over than a death, because the not knowing would drive you mad. You’d imagine them lurking out there, just out of reach. You’d imagine something horrible happened to them. You would never get closure. We see all of this from Luke’s family. She so expertly tugs at your heart all while willing you to continue reading because you just have to know what happens to the characters! Her stories are unique, not your standard cookie-cutter stories, that quite frankly, after awhile, you get tired of reading. Each story has a fresh, new perspective, subject and characters so I find her books very refreshing!

That is until she wakes one morning to find Luke’s cell phone sitting in the apartment...but no Luke! Brushing away the foggy sleep, Clara realizes he never came home last night after work. Dark, disturbing, but so incredibly entertaining! I don't think I have ever used the word delicious to describe a book but it fits because I totally ate this one up. This was one of those really enjoyable reading experiences and I can't wait for others to read it so I can hear their thoughts on the book. The dual narrative kept the story flowing at such a sensational pace, reveals coming just when you needed them. I trusted no one. Everyone was a suspect in my eyes and that made it so exciting. The ending left me with chills. As far as “psychological thriller” goes, spot on. Obviously. Hence, the PTSD thing. This is such a good read and I’m honestly bummed that I had to stop halfway because I was wholeheartedly enjoying the story. If you’re looking for a great thriller, here it is.

BOOK REVIEW: ‘The Lies We Told’ By Camilla Way BOOK REVIEW: ‘The Lies We Told’ By Camilla Way

I really like if the story has many twists and turns. And yes guys, this book has a lot of unexpected secrets, and lies. This book had me riveted from cover to cover... it was one of those books that I flew through and as I got closer to the end I wanted to slow down, because I was not ready to let this book go.... but as much as I wanted this book not to end, I needed to know what all had happened, and what was going to happen next.... because let me tell you what, Camilla Way had me completely stumped!

By FAR my least favorite of Diane Chamberlain's books. This book centers on the relationship between two sisters, Maya and Rebecca.

My sister, Rebecca, is beautiful, wild, cool-headed and fiercely independent. She needs no one to make her happy. She does, however, need danger.Doug and Beth are raising their daughter Hannah. They are terrified of Hannah who is exhibiting sociopath behaviors. They are worried of what she might do next or if she will reveal their secret that they thought was buried in the past.
