Kaaba Building Bricks - Islam Bricks

Kaaba means “the cube” in Arabic. 14 meters high, this construction is considered by Muslims to be the “house of God” on earth. It is openly mentioned twice in the Quran, in verses 95 and 97 of sura 5 (The Table). “God has established the Ka’ba, sacred House, built for men”, we read for example in verse 97. Located in the center of Mecca, it is seen as being connected to the “ Kaaba of heaven”. Suitable for all ages (4+). Especially great for young children to start or add to their Islamic toys collection. Size and Weight: According to Sarwar, about 400 years before the birth of Muhammad, a man named 'Amr bin Luhayy, who descended from Qahtan and was the king of Hijaz, placed an idol of Hubal on the roof of the Kaaba. This idol was one of the chief deities of the ruling Quraysh tribe. The idol was made of red agate and shaped like a human, but with the right hand broken off and replaced with a golden hand. When the idol was moved inside the Kaaba, it had seven arrows in front of it, which were used for divination. [35] To maintain peace among the perpetually warring tribes, Mecca was declared a sanctuary where no violence was allowed within 30km (20mi) of the Kaaba. This combat-free zone allowed Mecca to thrive not only as a place of pilgrimage, but also as a trading center. [36] An animal is sacrificed, with the meat distributed to the poor people and the community, as well as eaten by family.
