Kokuyo realized that large, thin sheets of paper are difficult to flip through, and increased the paper weight in the larger notebooks to make them easier to use. The majority of Campus Notebooks perform well with a variety of writing instruments. The paper is textured enough for graphite to grip the surface, yet smooth enough to use with gel pens. The notebooks are resistant to bleedthrough, too: they pair nicely with liquid links like those found in rollerball and fountain pens.
