There are also some nice picnic spots along the way if you fancy making a day of it and to truly feel like you are part of the Christopher Robin gang. What makes it magical: One of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Taj Mahal in India is an enchanting monument that inspired Aladdin’s palace and many other fairytales. Its alluring domes, sprawling gardens, and mysterious tombs stand as a symbol of eternal love. My father, who has derived such happiness from his childhood, found in me the companion with who, he could return there.” What makes it magical: The ancient walled city of Dubrovnik in Croatia looks like a seaside fantasy come to life. There’s a reason Dubrovnik’s magical buildings, medieval gates, and Adriatic Sea location are featured in the ‘Game of Thrones’ fantasy series!

Christopher Milne was born in 1920 and is the boy in the Winnie the Pooh books written by his father. In this memoir he tells of his happy childhood on their farm (which becomes the fifty acre wood in the stories), where he was raised by a nanny he loved and two parents who loved him, but who seemed, somehow, detached from him. Pass a bench and after about 250 metres you reach a clump of tall pine trees (Gills Lap) on your right - The Enchanted Place. Lovely garden, very welcoming, eclectic artwork around the house adds greatly to the ambience. Two lovely blokes running the place who provide an excellent Scottish breakfast. Admire a majestic palace: Experience Taj Mahal’s breathtaking magic at sunrise; you’ll understand why it’s one of the most beautiful magical places on earth. Then, stroll the stunning gardens of the complex and see marvelous close-up details of the palace. Head to West Gate for the best creative photography spots. Just a short drive from Surrey is a magical woodland that inspired one of the world's favourite children's stories.Christopher Milne explains that he resented the fame and the identity confusion caused by the fact that readers thought he was the real-life Christopher Robin. He just wanted to be allowed to be himself, Christopher Milne. I have seen some people write that this book ruined the happiness in the Pooh-books. For me, it does no such thing. After all, books are written by people, and no book becomes a myth the minute it is written. Everything starts out as a story, and this is just another aspect of that particular story/myth that we have all come to love. This book was a rambling series of vignettes of life in the Milne household and the difficulties and delights of growing up with a fictional twin with your name who is world-famous. There seemed to be more difficulties than delights as Christopher Robin was a child much happier out of the limelight who had it 'thrust upon him'.

Milne moved to Hartfield in 1925 with his wife and son Christopher, who became the basis for the character Christopher Robin. Throughout the text, Christopher Milne quotes from his father's memoir 'It's too late now', rarely trying to infer or interpret his father or his actions, but choosing to use his own words instead. The Enchanted Places" is a memoir written by the son of A. A. Milne, the real-life Christopher Robin, who didn't only inspire his father's childhood stories but actually lived them. The lines between real life and fiction blur in this memoir, as Christoper doesn't always seem to remember which parts of the Pooh-books were actual parts of his life.
