Toggle 3D buildings visibility : If your device came with 3D buildings availability, you can turn them ON/OFF. To do this go to Settings> Appearance> Guidance View> Show 3D buildings/landmarks. Interactive Map. Put the world at your fingertips. Simply zoom in and out to find and explore places on the map with your fingertips. Tap on the map to get an instant route to your destination. Both the remaining distance and remaining time is now shown in the route comparison panel if the setting is 'both'. If your navigation device has a memory card slot, you may need to buy a memory card to store your maps. This covers you for real-time updates on slow moving traffic and roadworks on your route, via the TomTom Traffic system. You get three month's worth of Speed Camera data as well, although having to pay extra each year to keep the camera data up to date does seem a bit cheeky. Joining up with saved routes : When you select a route in My Routes, you can choose between driving to the starting point or to the point closest to your current location.TomTom hasn't limited the improvements to the Go 6000 to the hardware side of things either, as the interface has enjoyed a significant overhaul. The new interface is dominated by the main navigation screen, with a thin column on the right of the screen that shows you delays on your route along with the distance to your destination along with your ETA. Anyone that has owned a sat nav before knows that the likes of "In three hundred yards turn right" doesn't necessarily mean doing anything of the sort. With a 6-inch screen displaying the road ahead so clearly, you learn to drive accordingly, and while the voice is still important, it's now just part of the information at your disposal, not the only thing.
Recommended memory cards
Press and hold the On/Off button until your device restarts. Keep the button pressed until you hear the drums, then release it. This can take more than fifteen seconds.
The first time you insert a new memory card in your navigation device, you are asked if you want the device to format the memory card.

I agree it is a POS. never able to sync to my phone for updates. Telephone support was an absolute joke as well. As a long time Tom Tom supporter and user in the past I will never ever waste my money on Tom Tom again. They have ripped me off for the last time
