About this deal

In January 2010, the British The Daily Telegraph reported that in 2001 Qadhi had described the Holocaust as a hoax and false propaganda, and had said that " Hitler never intended to mass-destroy the Jews." [24] [25] The following year The New York Times said he said that most Islamic studies professors in the United States are Jews who "want to destroy us." [8] Muhammad: His Life Based on the Earliest Sources by Martin Lings – This one is also available on YouTube as a free audiobook. It is a good short book and you can listen to the whole thing in 5.5 hours. It is a popular book among both Muslims and non-Muslims. However, I would highly advise to go through Sh. Hamza Yusuf’s lectures that go along with it as a supplement. Sh. Hamza explains the book in this series of lectures and provides further details missed by Lings and points out some mistakes made in the book as well.

The Sirah of the Prophet (pbuh) by Yasir Qadhi, Salah Sharief

To summarize: The study of the seerah is the study of (i) the best, and (ii) the best, and (iii) the best, and (iv) the best: ABSOLUTELY PERFECT👌🏽 IF USED TOGETHER WITH THE ORIGINAL YOUTUBE SERIES. IT JUST BRINGS THE SIRAH TO LIFE❤️. xiv The generation after the Companions (Ṣaḥābah) of the Prophet , referred to as the Successors (Tābiʿūn). The above list of names given to the Prophet are descriptive in nature, functioning more as adjectives. The only two proper nouns by which Allah names the Prophet are: Muhammad and Aḥmad. The name Muhammad is mentioned in the Qur’an four times, 6 and the name Aḥmad is mentioned once, which was via the tongue of Jesus Christ .7 Both Aḥmad and Muhammad are derived from the root word ḥamd. The closest English equivalent to the word ḥamd is praise. There is, however, a distinction to be made between ḥamd and praise. Ḥamd is more accurately defined as a combination of thanks ( shukr) and praise ( madḥ). Being thankful to someone does not necessitate praise, and vice versa. For example, if somebody lends you money, you thank them, but may not necessarily praise them. Likewise, you may praise a talented athlete, but you are not thanking them per se. Ḥamd is given to an entity irrespective of what has been done to you. When we say " alḥamdulillāh", it is because Allah is inherently worthy of being praised; even if we did not exist, He would still be worthy of praise . Yasir Qadhi (formerly known by his kunya Abu Ammaar Yasir Qadhi) (born January 30, 1975) [5] is an American preacher, theologian, and Sunni imam. Since 2001, he has served as Dean of Academic Affairs at the Al-Maghrib Institute, an international Islamic educational institution with a center in Houston, Texas. He also taught in the Religious Studies department at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee. [5] He is currently the resident Scholar of the East Plano Islamic Center in Plano, Texas. He currently serves as the chairman of the Fiqh Council of North America. [6]By studying the seerah, we also see the life and times of the best generation who ever lived: the generation of the sahaba RA. Allah says, "Allah is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Allah" [Quran, 9:100]. And the Prophet PBUH said, "The best generation is my generation." Ibn Mas'ud (ابن مسعود) RA said, "Allah looked at the hearts of His servants and He chose the brightest and the purest heart to be that of the Prophet Muhammad PBUH. And then He chose the purest next and made them the sahaba of the Prophet PBUH." So by studying the seerah, we also study the stories of Abu Bakr, Umar, Anas, Jabir (جابر), Sa'd ibn Mu'adh (سعد بن معاذ), Talha (طلحة), Zubayr (زبير), et al., and our Imangoes up by listening to the lives of these legendary people, their sacrifices, struggles, perseverance, and patience. They are all role models for us. According to a weak athar (أثر - tradition), the Prophet PBUH said, "My sahaba are like the stars. Whichever one you follow, you are going to be guided."

The Sirah of the Prophet (Pbuh): A Contemporary and Original

However, of the 'issues' of the Quran is that (i) it is not chronological, and (ii) it does not mention reference. For example, Allah does not mention the word "Uhud" in the Quran, so we need to know that a portion of Surah Ali-Imran (سورة آل عمران) was revealed for Uhud. So the seerah and the Quran go hand in hand: You need the seerah to understand the Quran, and you need the Quran to understand the seerah. Al-ʿArab al-Bāqiyah are still in existence. They are comprised of two subgroups: Qahṭān and ʿAdnān. Qahṭān is considered the father of the Arabs. The word Arab is linguistically derived from his son, Yaʿrab (or Yaʿrib). Most scholars opine that Qahṭān’s lineage extends to Nūḥ through his son, Sām, father of the Semites. 37 A second minority opinion is that Qahṭān is also a direct descendent of Ibrāhīm ,38 and a third opinion is that Qahṭān is descended from Hūd .39 The Qahṭānīs are known as al-ʿArab al-ʿĀribah (The Original Arabs).is the ancestor of our Prophet Muhammad . He is the descendent of Ismāʿīl , son of Ibrāhīm , who originated from Iraq. Ismāʿīl married into the Qahṭānīs and began speaking their language, which began the integration of his bloodline with the Arabs. ʿAdnān then emerged a few generations later, and the Arab tribes flowed from ʿAdnān. ʿAdnānī Arabs are thus known as al-ʿArab al-Mustaʿribah (The Arabised Arabs) because they acquired Arabic from the Qahṭānīs via Ismāʿīl . The Arabised Arabs settled in central Arabia and as a result interacted the most with nearby Arabian tribes, thus becoming more proficient in Arabic than the Original Arabs. The scholars of genealogy unanimously agree that the Prophet Muhammad is the 20th grandson of ʿAdnān. 40 Pre-Islamic Arabia a b Shaykh Dr. Yasir Qadhi | Q&A | is invoking saints shirk, charity as tax deductions? , retrieved January 27, 2022 In regards to religious liberties, Qadhi believes that Islamic teachings don't support or require that Muslim business owners discriminate or refuse service to LGBTQ individuals. Nonetheless, Qadhi expresses concern that Islamic institutions may face issues if they speak in a vulgar manner and employ or fire employees that don't conform to conservative beliefs regarding sexual behaviors. [22] Death threat by Islamic State of Iraq and the Syria [ edit ] The word Muhammad means to be given continuous praise, and Aḥmad means to be given the best type of praise. The former indicates quantity of praise while the latter indicates quality. They are both combined in our blessed Prophet . This also explains why previous Prophets referred to our noble Prophet in different ways. Mūsā refers to our Prophet as Muhammad because the Banū Isrā’īl (The Children of Israel) were the largest nation before the Ummah of Muhammad . As for ʿĪsā , he refers to our Prophet as Aḥmad because his true followers were few in number but of the highest calibre of quality. Khaṣā’iṣ
