About this deal

I think I understand your point about corner sharpness for lenses like these— let’s see if I got this right. Say you’re using this wide open to get a portrait. Corner sharpness might even be a distraction from the effect you’re trying to get? And look at the market now, thanks to 7Artisans, TTArtisan, Pergear - there are lots of lens options at a fraction cost of Fuji XF 35mm F1.4. All samples have been shot on my Fujifilm X-pro3 cameras. I have shopped this lens at night as well as in daylight, I have tried to shoot both portraiture and more street oriented images. All images have been post processed using Adobe Lightroom software. As for corner sharpness, if you’re shooting a portrait at wide open aperture, chances are, you’re trying to isolate the subject anyway, so I don’t think a little softness in the corners will be a problem. Of course, this is just my opinion :). Yes, it might even be somewhat of a distraction to have something ultra sharp. Plus, most lenses at large open aperture have some vignetting, which helps further isolate the subject. These lenses are good if you are looking for something that has a soft rendering at portrait / close distances.. I consider this as one of my toy / special effects lenses; for sharper, higher contrast type images at wide apertures, I have f1.2-f1.4 lenses that are much better..

7artisans 35mm f0.95 Large Aperture APS-C Mirrorless M4/3 MFT

The Bokeh balls are very good wide open : well circular, but becomes a little bit less good with aperture closed down (some fringing visible at F2.8) One final thing to note regarding the build quality is that the this lens will mount onto your X-Pro3 without ruining your lens mount release button like some of the early Viltrox lenses did. The mounting-ring itself is made from a gorgeous shiny graphite colour that again just oozes quality! Specifications Thanks for your kind words about my professional work. I do remote shoots occasionally now though. Have I told you about these before? I meet up with a model online from around the world, and thanks to modern technology, I can control her camera through my computer with the camera app or Capture One. We use something like Zoom to chat. Some of these models use professional setups (pro cameras, lighting, studio booking, etc.), so the results are just as good as you would get from in-person shooting. It’s been a great experience. The process is slower but the results can be excellent. Plus, it’s a great way to network, and shoot in various locations around the world.

7artisans Photoelectric 35mm f0.95 First Impressions:

This is also an area where this lens has an advantage over the Mitakon 35mm f/0.95 mk2. The latter uses a 55 mm filter thread and is slightly bigger in overall size. This is actually quite impressive since I was already very impressed with the size of the Mitakon.

7artisans 35mm F0.95 Lens, APS-C Manual Focus Large Aperture

So sorry for the late reply! I hope you’re doing good! Thanks for reading my review. It means a lot, and it’s great to hear from you! This is probably one of the most incredible features of this lens. The size is not much, if at all, wider than Fujifilms own 35mm f/1.4. It’s a little longer in the barrel but no more than a centimeter or so. This compact build makes it even more perfect for the retro looking X-pro3 body. It doesn’t come across as a big lens that will make your system front heavy. It’s a small and very handy lens. This can also be seen in the fact that it uses a standard 52 mm filter thread just like Fujifilms own 35mm f/1.4. To me this trait isn’t necessarily the most important trait of a lens like the 7artisans 35mm f/0.95. I use these lenses for creative output, and I tend to use whatever shortcomings they might have to my advantage. But a lot of the flaws that you usually see in this type of lens is simply not present in the 7artisans 35mm f/0.95! This especially applies to sharpness. Now, the f/0.95 on the APS-C will give you a depth of field close to that of an f/1.4 lens on a 35mm full frame camera. So handling this lens will not be any harder in terms of nailing focus than using said 1.4 lens. But it does have a huge advantage over the f/1.4 lenses…

So, that’s about it for my first impressions of this lens. I’ve been a bit busy lately but wanted to at least post something up about the 7artisans 35mm f0.95. I will probably get a model shoot going to further test this lens, so stay tune for the full review, which should be coming out soon. I have to say, when you factor in the build, price, versatility, focal length, and of course, that f0.95 aperture, this lens is pretty impressive. Anyway, thanks for stopping by!
