About this deal

The beach itself is considered one of the best in this part of Europe, and it is a popular destination for foreign tourists as well. Promenade Beach in Pondicherry is known for its lively experiences. This 1.5-kilometer long beach is one of the best places to visit in Pondicherry. If you are interested in leisurely strolls and don’t mind traveling to the serene island then Promenade Beach is surely one of the best spots of you. It is also one of the nearest beaches from Bangalore. This place is also surrounded by some of the best historical places in Karnataka. Suluban Beach on Google Maps 17. Pandawa Beach – best for both worlds At Pandawa Beach, you’ll find hustle and bustle in one direction, and pure paradise in the other (image credit: Roosterfish Beach Club) Southend's long stretches of beach are mostly a mix of shingle and sand, although you can find sandier stretches. Unfortunately, the town was rated poorly by visitors in our survey of the UK’s best and worst seaside towns. Of more than 100 destinations rated, Southend finished fifth from bottom with an overall destination score of 56%. Visitors rated the beach and seafront just two stars. While the beach itself is still ok, the place is not. Spoiler alert: I classify Vama Veche as a tourist trap in Romania, but don’t take my word for it. Just read what others are saying about it in the comments section.

Ignoring the small tidal beaches of the Thames and Thorney Bay on Canvey Island (because it takes longer to reach by public transport), the closest beach to London for most residents is Southend-on-Sea, in Essex. From Camber Sands in East Sussex to Viking Bay in Kent, here are the best beaches near London you can reach by train:

It’s also a must say that the beaches in Romania are usually extremely crowded, despite their size and unfortunately very noisy with pubs seemingly competing for the “I can go louder” award or something… It’s almost cliché to rank Mamaia first in any kind of top list related to the Romanian beaches, but the truth is that it is considered the best place for all the right reasons: it’s the place where the biggest amount of money was poured in and you can see that. In one scenario synchronised landings saw participants acting as a trained team such as a military unit. In another, participants exited the boats in a deliberately chaotic way, to provide a wider data sample of human movement.

Today it looks the same. Cheap, big, and crowded. To put things into perspective, the place is so crowded that you’d often find only a few available accommodations, which are a few km away from the beach. If you get too late to the beach, there won’t be any place to sit. Literally. Plaja Vama VecheToday, I prefer it for its long and almost wild beach, but there are also many beach bars and shops close to the beach, which might be a sweet spot between the overcrowded beach of the more established Romanian seaside resorts and the wild beaches from more up North. This is definitely something you can grow used to – you don’t have another choice, actually, and it’s not really that bad: there are still areas on these popular beaches where you won’t hear the music (as much) so you have some options… but be prepared for a lot of noise and huge crowds of people.

If these pictures have you dreaming of the cool blue sea and beautiful sandy beaches, then you have a case of the beach-fever! Head to any of these beaches near Bangalore for an exciting getaway with your family and friends. Plan a trip to Bangalore and enjoy a hassle-free experience in the city! Pandawa Beach has a mixed reputation – some love it for the bustle of sun-beds with beach umbrellas aplenty, but many will call it crowded and a little touristy. Well, if you’re after that busy beach vibe with everything you need just a few sandy footsteps away (cold drinks, Roosterfish beach club and a scatter of restaurants), then Pandawa Beach is exactly that. But if you want an empty stretch of sand with no one in sight, we’re going to let you in on a little secret and tell you that you can have that here too. Simply swing by during low-tide and wander past the crowds of beachgoers, and you’ll find untouched paradise. No sunbeds, no umbrellas, nothing – just a never-ending vista of white sand, lagoon-like waters and pure paradise. But shhh – you didn’t hear it from us… As a general rule of thumb, travelling in Romania is best done during the week, when most leisure places are chill and not overcrowded with tourists. Another reason to do so is the traffic, which is a nightmare during high season. Try to avoid it as much as you can travel on a Sunday, especially during summer. It can get so crowded that you’ll end up driving for 10 hours for what should have been a 2-hour drive. You have been warned!Gunung Payung Beach on Google Maps 21.
