We did experience a bit of a funny aftertaste in the few minutes following application, but this isn’t unusual for whitening products, and it went away shortly after. We also like that the pen features a brush-tip applicator, which helps to evenly distribute the serum and get into the crevices between the teeth. Plus, after using it as directed, there was still plenty of product left in the pen that could be used for touch-ups down the line.

Enamel flux is transparent enamel which is used in various ways. Most commonly flux is used as an undercoat before using coloured enamel.They have been manufactured by Milton Bridge since 1982. Teeth whitening pens work the same way as other whitening products, but they use a serum to apply whitening ingredients to your teeth. Flux can also be used as a topcoat to create better clarity of colours and also to seal the work. Clear flux can also be used to ‘glue’ cloisonné wires in place. While their lower peroxide percentages may not get you the drastic results you want, this makes them safer to use, as Dr. Yazdani explains that “because they usually have a lower concentration of the bleaching agent, there is little risk for enamel damage.”
