Overall, I would say this camera would appeal to someone with some basic experience of a point-and-shoot digital who would now like to take a few steps further into the field of photography. One of the primary objectives FujiFilm set out to achieve in this series was to make the camera appealing to SLR users looking for an affordable and versatile digital alternative. They've achieved this, not just in the shape and build of the camera housing, but also in the layout of the controls. FujiFilm has always scored highly when it comes to intuitive design and the S5600 is no exception. The S5600 has an ISO range from 64 to 1600. I've found that pictures taken at ISO400 are still very acceptable, although noise levels at ISO levels 800 and 1600 mean that you should reserve these settings for occasions when it's better to have even a noisy picture than no picture at all. The bottom line here is that you'd need to spend several hundred pounds on a DSLR to obtain noise-free images at these ISO levels, so I don't see this as a problem or flaw. Similarly, the 10x zoom is very useful and although some purple fringing appears at full zoom (under certain lighting conditions) the resulting images are by no means spoiled. The camera's lens housing is threaded to permit the fitting of after-market lenses, so you can extend the S5600's abilities without spending hundreds more for a camera with 20x zoom and a super-macro feature. The manual settings which the s5200 featured allow much control over the image, such settings like TTL metering, ISO, flash, Macro, White Balance and Red Eye Reduction could be manipulated. The modifications to the FinePix S5700 mean it is easier to use than anything that has gone before. It will be a faithful companion for any and every event, from nights out or the kids’ school play or sports day, right through to countryside walks and family holidays. It’s the ultimate camera for every occasion and perfect for users who always want a camera to hand, but prefer to get creative, not technical, with their photography. With a modern and clean interface, it is designed to be simple and intuitive for novice users. Many necessary functions located in the main window; that includes a few basic functions, such as adding photos, sorting, and printing. The editing functions are located in the main window which allows you to perform basic editing options such as cropping, resizing, and adjusting the brightness and contrast of a photo.

An enhanced ergonomic design of even smaller proportions, which make the camera portable and easy to hold in one hand, whilst retaining its powerful 10x optical zoom. Normal: 90 cm to infinity (high speed shooting 2m to infinity) (W) 2 m to infinity (high speed shooting 4m to infinity) (T) Incorporating a 10x optical zoom, the FinePix S5600 is the third mini-SLR styled addition to the FinePix range following the S5000 and S5500. Fortunately the main mode dial offers a little more versatility, with the usual auto and program modes joined by aperture priority, shutter priority and full manual exposure. The range of control is better than average for a manual compact, with a maximum aperture of f/3.5 and a minimum of f/13.6, and shutter speeds of four seconds to 1/1000th. Also available on the mode dial are two natural light modes, one with automatic slow-sync flash, two user program modes, the anti shake mode (which as we’ll see is best avoided) and the video mode. The S5700 can shoot at VGA resolution and 30fps with mono sound and electronic image stabilisation, and the zoom lens can be used while filming.

Featuring a new Anti-Blur mode designed to reduce the effects of camera shake or blurring caused by moving objects, low-light shooting is also possible thanks to a wide sensitivity range of 64 to 1600 ISO. The Fujifilm FinePix S and HS-series of digital cameras consists of the company's DSLR system and bridge camera models. The camera’s impressive 10x optical zoom has a fixed lens housing and covers all settings from wide to telephoto. It’s ideal for amateurs and photography enthusiasts alike who want optical power but don’t want to compromise with a heavyweight or bulky camera body. The fixed lens housing also ensures a lightning-fast start-up time and removes the risk of getting dust particles inside the lens or camera body. The introduction of Fujifilm’s Intelligent Flash and Natural light plus Flash modes for images that are faithful to the original scene, even when flash is required. ISO and still no image noise. With a shutter speed of 1/180th of a second at this speed there’s no chance of any camera shake.
