In an effort to go green, the treats are now being wrapped in a vegetable-based wax instead of the iconic shiny foils that became a festive staple for decades. To customise their tin, shoppers simply need to choose a name or word (maximum of nine letters) which will be laser-engraved on the lid while they wait.

The brand has been working to improve the sustainability of its operations and supply chain for well over a decade. In the Halifax factory there is zero waste to landfill. The brand has used only certified sustainably sourced cocoa since 2015, and Quality Street chocolate is made from milk sourced from farms in Scotland that have been part of a sustainable farming partnership with Nestlé since 2003. Quality Street is 84 years old and as popular today as it has ever been, but that doesn’t mean the brand hasn’t changed over the years. Today’s news is the latest exciting instalment in the Quality Street story and we hope it will make the brand feel closer to all its fans, old or new.
