First published on the 26th of May in 2011, this was initially brought out through the Transworld Publishers Ltd label, as it sought to recount the life of Bear Grylls up until that point. It was then in 2012 that Bear Grylls would release his autobiography recounting his whole life so far, which was titled ‘Mud, Sweat and Tears: The Autobiography’. Once they are given the magical compass, they meet the Bear in an amazing place and learn new skills and facts they can take back with them to their real life. Bringing out his first book titled The Kid Who Climbed Everest in 2000 in the United States, also named Facing Up within the United Kingdom, he recounted his ascent of Everest at just twenty-three years of age.

Each book in this collectible 12 book series follows a different child on the outdoor activity camp.
