About this deal

I would have bought a cheaper version without these features any day, and I think a lot of people would agree that this isn't the main selling point.

I've updated the firmware to the latest version (as of January 2022) and there are no connection problems, the wandering speaker problem is not an issue anymore and the connection with the app is rock solid. In addition, we have a library of Owner’s Manuals and Support Documents that you can download and reference. The app is a bit cumbersome to use and without the internet I would have struggled to get my iPhone to play music at the same time but having sorted that I am delighted.Practice makes perfect," they say, but practicing as a guitarist may be tedious, especially if you're alone in a room with your headphones and amp. With Waza-Air, simply plug the wireless transmitter into your instrument, put on the headphones and play away until your heart’s content. Not only does it alter the amp placement and acoustic characteristics of virtual spaces like we explained, but it also allows you to experiment with an entire palette of different amps sounds and effects. Fusing premium amp and effect tones with breakthrough BOSS spatial technology, the revolutionary Waza-Air takes the guitar experience where it’s never gone before. My only gripes are that there's no supplied case for them and they're fairly expensive, plus the app isn't the greatest.

Boss WAZA AIR is designed to make the player feel like they are in a room with a physical amplifier. The included WL-T transmitter enables wireless operation with the instrument, but if you only want to listen to music, simply plug the WL-T into the appropriate socket to use the Waza Air as a full-blown Bluetooth headset. Fortunately, BOSS has designed them to be very ergonomic, so that they don’t feel fatiguing during extended playing sessions. Waza-Air features tones and controls derived from the stage-class Katana amplifiers, with full user customisation and a variety of ready-to-play presets available via the free BOSS Tone Studio app.Whether you are a professional guitarist or a passionate hobbyist, read on to find out if the Boss Waza Air is the right choice for you.

On first look, you just see a fancy pair of Boss headphones, but this couldn’t be further from the truth. In addition to providing a wireless connection to BOSS Tone Studio, Waza-Air’s built-in Bluetooth lets you jam along with songs and backing tracks from your smartphone or tablet. In terms of guitars and pickups I switch back and forth between US Strat and Tele, Charvel Pro-Mod San Dimas, PRS custom 24 and another SuperStrat with an HSS setup with Seymour Duncan Vintage Rail and Duckbucker in the singlecoil positions. The Boss brand has been an important part of the Japanese Roland Corporation since the mid-1970s and has caused a sensation from its inception, especially with its compact effect pedals but also multi-effect units and other helpful tools for guitarists. Things get even more real with Static mode, where the combined amp and room sound changes depending on where you move your head. Then practice solo, groove with the onboard acoustic drum patterns and metronome, or jam with music streamed from your smartphone. So if you’re worried about having to plug your guitar into the headphones with a 1/4″ instrument cable, you simply don’t have to. Gyro Ambience Technology allows you to position the amp directly in front of you, behind you or as if you were on stage. In Stage mode, the streaming music plays from the backline along with your amp, putting you in a virtual band!

The BOSS Waza-Air headphones are an all-in-one personal guitar amp system that offers stunning, realistic amp tones straight to your ears - no amp needed. Both the headphones and transmitter have built-in rechargeable lithium-ion batteries and an auto standby/wake function to conserve battery life. The BOSS Tone Studio software for iOS and Android mobile devices allows you to edit, organize, and download tones wirelessly. A cool product, although it could deserve a little love in terms of UX, especially in the app which has this very critical bug that still hasn't been resolved since the last app update 3 months ago. Speaking of the BOSS Tone Studio app, this user-friendly software truly unlocks the full capabilities of the Waza-Air headphones. Now that you know how the WAZA-AIR and its transmitter works let’s get you connected so you can begin using it! To protect your WAZA-AIR when on the move, partner them with the Boss CB-WZ-AIR WAZA-AIR Carrying Case . Using headphones is often a necessary solution, but the sound lacks the depth of the in-room experience.
