Se deshacen de los secundarios que a nadie le importan, más acción sin sentido, un worldbuilding de pena y una sensación general de abulia bastante guapa. Chainsaw Man keeps up the hilarity with solid comedy, brutal action, and this volume packs a pretty big surprise twist.

After being killed on a job, Denji is revived by his pet devil-dog Pochita and becomes something new and dangerous—Chainsaw Man! All of it will end if they just kill Denji and feed the devil his heart; however, none of them really want to do it… at least those who are of sound mind and body. There's demons everywhere, they have to fight them, there's a big bad demon that they need to work their way up to killing. Supernatural rip-roaring chainsaw action is way over the top in Shonen Jump's hot new series of 2019! Overshadowed by the threat of countless demons on the loose is a conspiracy uprising going on in the background.

Avevo sfogliato il primo volume di Chainsaw Man in edicola quando uscì qualche mese fa: i disegni non mi avevano fatto impazzire e la storia mi era sembrata una brutta copia tamarra di Devilman per le nuove generazioni. There is good character progress, change of motivations, explained why things are how they are and mystery reveals itself. Aki seems to be warming up to him more and more as time goes on and with Denji and Himeno becoming friends, that can only help their own friendship as well. The third volume is usually where manga gets to show its potential and I decide whether to continue or not.

Leggo Il secondo volume e lo trovo più o meno allo stesso livello del primo, i comprimari introdotti sono interessanti, la storia mi piace e diverte, però manca ancora qualcosa. As I read each volume of this series, I keep seesawing back and forth between whether I like it or am too annoyed by it. All we know is that the yakuza still hasn’t forgotten about Denji and that this is about to turn into Bungo Stray Dogs on an entirely different level! Suddenly, he transforms into a being just like Denji except instead of chainsaws, he has swords coming out of his body. There were even some plot points that happened in this volume that I cannot believe that they pulled the trigger on… at least this early.

I got what I wanted and I hope it keeps tackling more interesting topics and doesn't shy away from anything because the premise is still absurd but the execution makes it work. There is an obvious connection between the two so it’ll be interesting to see how all of that ends up getting expanded upon.

This volume has some lousy dialogue, pacing and transitions in addition to the protagonist being strung along by the women around him with sexual promises. The third volume of Chainsaw Man continues the battle of the Eternity Devil while our gang is trapped inside of the time-locked hotel. Volume 3 wraps up the subplot of the last volume where the main demon hunting crew gets trapped in a haunted hotel and the only way to escape is to offer up Denji as a sacrifice to the Eternity Demon. We’ve got a couple of new villains without a name but I’m sure we’ll learn more about them next time around. To be honest, with Denji’s past with the Yakuza and his pursuit of the Gun Devil, I had a feeling the two would cross paths again.

The background of the colored cover are green leaves with the title logo and the author's name in greenish yellow.

Man?The series' first part, "Public Safety arc" ( 公安編, Kōan-hen), ran in Shueisha's shōnen manga anthology Weekly Shōnen Jump from December 3, 2018, [1] [2] to December 14, 2020; [3] [4] following the series' conclusion in Weekly Shōnen Jump, a second part was announced to start on Shueisha's Shōnen Jump+ online magazine. Chainsaw Man finishes it's last arc with some insane killings as our main hero unleashes the beast once more.
