The key to the Delter Coffee Press's design is its Jet-Seal - a silicone gasket which separates the coffee bed from the hot water until pressure is applied. One of our most asked questions for 2019, we have decided to dedicate a full blog article looking at the differences between the new Delter Coffee Maker and AeroPress Coffee Maker. It was one of the messier coffee makers from our selection and also one of the least easy to clean and we found it to have somewhat confusing instructions. The Delter Press is not an espresso maker, but it does, in my experience, brew stronger than the AeroPress. This method is also good for people that like versatility, as you can brew in both the traditional method or the inverted method.

As far as the flavor goes, you can get as much robust punch as with espresso but with less crema and body. The pressure is generally about 2 to 3 bar—to qualify as espresso you need to hit 9 bar—but it's less effort and easier to clean up. AeroPress users attempting to use the Delter Press in the same way and expecting the same results may be disappointed. While it may look very similar to the Aeropress, the two brewers use very different extraction methods.There is no work around to this if you want to make larger batches of coffee, or a serving for 2 or more people, apart from diluting a stronger ‘shot’ which we all know is less than ideal.
