About this deal

There was speculation on social media after politicians were seen passing notes in the House of Commons earlier. Royal fans had gathered outside the gates of Balmoral and other royal homes amid concern for the Queen. Joanne shared another poem on Facebook on Saturday (Sept 10) in which she reacted to the poem’s success and thanked everyone for their support.

As the news of her passing broke, the This Morning presenter followed up his original sentiment with a simple message reading: "God rest her soul x.She did her duty by the country right up until her dying hours, and became an enduring, positive symbol of Britain all over the world. I know her loss will be deeply felt throughout the country, the realms and the Commonwealth, and by countless people around the world. She will be remembered for her steadfast loyalty and service and my thoughts are with the royal family at this incredibly sad time. As a town I know we will stand together in the days ahead, to support each other, the King and the Royal Family and to remember our great Queen. The Irish star shared an image of the late monarch to her Instagram Stories on Thursday night, before sharing a snap of a huge tribute to Queen Elizabeth II nearby where her play, 2:2:2 - A Ghost Story, is being shown to theatre goers.

Her funeral will then be held at Westminster Abbey around ten days after her death and she will be laid to rest at St George’s Chapel in Windsor, with her husband Philip and parents. Her family - including Prince Charles, Camilla and Prince William - rushed to be by her side at Balmoral after Buckingham Palace issued a rare statement announcing that doctors were concerned for her health. Dame Helen Mirren, who portrayed the Queen on the silver screen and on the stage, described the monarch as the “epitome of nobility”. The UK, and much of the world, is in mourning after the 96-year-old sadly passed away at Balmoral in Scotland on Thursday afternoon (Sept 9). She was an inspiring presence to be around, and led the country through some of our greatest, and darkest, moments with grace, decency, and a genuine caring warmth.People are sharing photos, videos and powerful words on social media to honour the monarch’s 70-year reign, and many have been moved by a touching poem. The monarch will now lie in state for 24 hours at St Giles’ Cathedral in Edinburgh before being brought to London where she will lie in state for another three days in Westminster Hall. Sharing his heartbreak over the news, Piers tweeted this afternoon: "BREAKING NEWS: RIP Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, 96.
