About this deal

Otherwise, you’ll likely be left incredulous at how such a dire production could have made it to the stage, with the far worser crime being that it’s roughly 135 minutes which you’ll never get back. Broadcasting of the second series commenced in the UK on 24 April 2022, with Looking Good Dead as the opening episode. We’ll be shooting out of our Brighton HQ and all along and around the South Coast from late summer through to very late autumn, so it’s quite possible that like some macabre Radio Fab Roadshow, our caravanserai of coroner’s van, SOCO unit, Mobile Incident Room may well be coming to a street near you! A brilliant stage performer with fantastic vocal range, Laurie has starred in Les Miserable directed by Trevor Nunn and The Rocky Horror Picture Show on the West End as well as a recent turn as as ‘Anita’ in Band of Gold directed by Kay Mellor. But it becomes increasingly clear that the Bryce family business - and indeed the family itself - is on something of a downward spiral.

His teenage son Max manages to unlock the stick… and dad and son witness a live screening of a horrific murder, the details of which they decide to keep away from Tom’s wife/Max’s mum Kellie. This time, the stars come from the main three soaps - Adam Woodyatt (38 years in EastEnders) and Gaynor Faye (Emmerdale and Coronation Street). More significantly, the ability to conceal significant plot points within pages of text is lost on stage where any unusual details stand out. And James is particularly strong in those scenes with Tom’s family where it looks like his on the surface perfect life is collapsing around him.Kellie Bryce (Haynor Faye) was relaxed, fun and feisty and her son Max (Luke Ward-Wilkinson) the typical tech obsessed teen. Television includes Casualty, Gentleman Jack, Father Brown, Lark Rise to Candleford, One Summer, The Hunt for Tony Blair (BBC), Captive (Netflix), Doc Martin (ITV).

hours after picking up a USB memory stick, left behind on a train seat, Tom Bryce inadvertently becomes a witness to a vicious murder. Unfortunately, as is likely the case with any crime story which makes its way to the stage, any character introduced to the audience is likely to have a significant part to play in the rest of the show. Meanwhile, Grace becomes friendly with new forensic pathologist, Cleo Moray ( Zoe Tapper), but their relationship gets off to a bumpy start when she becomes the latest target of a hitman following every moment of Grace and his team. But he has personal issues — the disappearance of his wife Sandy nine years ago has never been solved, and he spends his time hanging round mediums in the hope of finding out what happened to her. My first experience of working in television came as ‘Shiner’ in The Baker Street Boys and shortly afterwards ‘Dave Firkettle’ in The Witches and the Grinnygog. Detective Superintendent Roy Grace (played this time by Harry Long) features in another enjoyable romp through the darker side of policing, keeping the audience guessing with its plot twists until the very end in a production which certainly doesn't disappoint. At the site of a tragic road traffic collision an unexpected discovery suggests more to the case than meets the eye. I enjoyed the first in Peter James’s series starring troubled Brighton cop Roy Grace, and LOOKING GOOD DEAD is a sharp and punchy sequel.
