About this deal

Thanks to the rhubarb, the gin is delicate enough to drink neat – the sour pink grapefruit is balanced by the sweetness of the rhubarb, and there's even a hint of rose, though this isn't included in the list of botanicals.

No matter which tonic you choose, be sure to experiment with different proportions until you find the perfect mix for you. And while there are many potential combinations to explore, one of the most delicious is pink grapefruit gin. From the most well-known gin producers to small batch local distillers, discover your perfect gin here! It’s a taste that’s not quite salty (that would be too obvious), more of a light mineral tang to the finish.

In a nutshell: Pink grapefruit might be the focus in Malfy Gin Rosa, but there’s a lot more going on in their pink gin. Pink grapefruit is the focus here, but there’s a lot more going on in the background of this rosy-hued gin.

We found less common citrus fruits as well, including Japanese yuzu, and we learned a few things along the way – who knew the Rangpur lime from Bangladesh was actually an orange?

Citrus gin was actually far more popular centuries ago, but it’s been making its way back onto our supermarket shelves recently, so much so that even supermarkets are launching their own citrus-inspired gins and no two tasted the same. It makes us think of Christmas and smells very much like a chocolate orange – the most festive kind of chocolate there is.The Malfy Gin Sour: Combine 1 1/2 ounces of Malfy gin, 1 ounce of fresh lemon juice, 1/2 ounce of simple syrup, and a dash of orange bitters in a shaker filled with ice. However, we recommend trying it with orange juice, grapefruit juice, lemon juice, lime juice, tonic water, sparkling wine, or dry vermouth.

Malfy pink gin is a new product from the Italian distillery Malfy that is made with Sicilian lemons. The choice of grapefruit is key – the Sicilian variety is prized for its deep pink flesh, which is ripened at low temperatures during colder weather. The Malfy Gin Martini: Combine 2 ounces of Malfy gin, 1 ounce of dry vermouth, and a dash of orange bitters in a shaker filled with ice. In this stylish, sun-soaked enclave, life moves at a different pace… Inspired by this Amalfi lifestyle, Malfy Gin embodies the essence of ‘La Dolce Vita’ and we invite you to sit back and enjoy with every sip. That means all the good stuff – the vibrant orange aroma, the intense citrus flavour, the strong piney juniper – have got room to shine.

Made with Italian oranges from Murcia, the aroma is lively, so it was a surprise to find that the flavour wasn’t overly strong. While we have taken care in preparing this summary and believe it to be accurate, it is not a substitute for reading the product packaging and label prior to use. The MofM tasting notes above are about right with the fresh taste of grapefruit coming through strong at the beginning and then some more subtle undertones of the other botanicals coming at the end, making this gin very interesting indeed. To serve Malfy pink gin with tonic water, fill a highball glass with ice and pour in 3-4 ounces of gin. You should also note that the picture images show only our serving suggestions of how to prepare your food - all table accessories and additional items and/or ingredients pictured with the product you are purchasing are not included.
