About this deal
I still believe this is not the best version of the album but i must to admit that is a High Quality release and it deserves your attention.
Although both albums are similarly structured, the musicianship on Master of Puppets is more powerful and epic in scope, with tight rhythms and delicate guitar solos. So i suggest you to get some "US" 1st pressing version like the first "SP" or the "Allied" pressings.
Some critics contended that the title actually refers to an artillery battery, and interpreted it as "Hetfield [singing] of a war tactic as the aggressor" personifying destruction. In the beginning I did not catch this version because it needs to put it very loud and listen all the details.
released a tribute album titled Master of Puppets: Remastered with the April 8, 2006, edition of the magazine to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Master of Puppets. My main issue is that lack of explanatory notes, which give the who/what/where/when of songs, but no reflection or background. You can feel the same things and in the 1st "France" pressing of "Ride the Lightning" that was pressed by "MPO". Master of Puppets peaked at number 29 on the Billboard 200 and received widespread acclaim from critics, who praised its music and political lyrics.Adrien Begrand of PopMatters praised the production as "a metal version of Phil Spector's Wall of Sound" and believed none of Metallica's subsequent albums could match its passionate and intense musical quality.
All the original "US" pressings sounded amazing and they are the best pressings of the album, but I feel this one is more lively and passionate. Master of Puppets was hailed as a masterpiece by critics outside of the thrash metal audience and cited by some as the genre's greatest album. Released on March 3, 1986, the album had a 72-week run on the Billboard 200 album charts and earned the band its first gold certification. In 2017, the album was remastered and reissued in a limited edition deluxe box set with an expanded track listing and bonus content. Has big low end and combinied with the "DMM" process the sound is very muddy and mess the clarity of the music.
Rasmussen stated that the band brought well-prepared demos of the songs, and only slight changes were made to the compositions in the studio.
