Prepare wet ingredients: Whisk granulated sweetener, eggs , date syrup and oil in a separate bowl until combined. Fresh ginger: this is an absolute must in this recipe – don’t swap for stem or crystallised versions. However foods are constantly being reformulated, so ingredients, nutrition content, dietary information and allergens etc may change. Alternatively, Coconut Syrup could be used, or any unrefined syrup that has a dark thick consistency.

You can do this in a pan on the stove or in the microwave, and then you can use a whisk or a little frothing want.
