It's so light and blend-able that applying with fingers is super easy, it pats in evenly and leaves a satin finish. Being a fairly low-coverage formula, the prep work you put in beneath shows through; you can create a more dewy finish by layering up hydrating skincare and primer first. Although heavier on the skin, I think this primer grips makeup slightly better than The Ordinary High-Spreadability Fluid Primer.
