About this deal

Mishti was my favorite character, and I’m sure many readers will feel that same way. She unselfishly put her own needs and happiness aside to appease everyone else in her life. I’ll be honest… She kind of broke my heart💔 This book was better than I imagined. While I have not had the exact journey as Rox, I found myself relating so much to so many of the stories (and every single symptom). Reading through each scenario brought me SO MANY emotions. It reminded me of many of my own struggles, which reminded me of all my feelings of guilt, regret, shame, and sadness. I found myself forgiving myself once again and releasing negative feelings (that I hadn’t known I was still holding onto) as I read along now feeling so validated and understood. While I’ve gone through the diagnosis and done the work and I’m in such a great place with my life (and have been for years now), it was such a lovely and needed reminder of where I have been, how I have landed where I’m at now, a reminder to appreciate the journey, and insight on how others have been affected by ADHD. It’s such a different experience to read and learn about another’s relatable struggles than it is to be justified and coached in counseling. It’s also the perfect reminder to always operate with compassion towards others.

From the husband-and-wife team behind social media phenomenon @ADHD_Love, whose viral videos have been viewed more than 200 million times, comes a fearless, often outrageously funny, account of life, learning, and growing with ADHD. They share the strategies they have used to reduce shame, improve communication, and find happiness in their neurodivergent household. And there's earth mother Lauren Doyle, born, bred, and the butt of jokes in their village. With her disheveled partner and children who run naked in the yard, they're mostly a happy lot, though unsurprisingly ostracized for being the singular dysfunction in Ciara's immaculate world. When Lauren finds an unlikely ally in Mishti, she decides that her days of ridicule are over. I am so glad I had the opportunity to read this book! This author is highly talented and I cannot wait to read more of her books in the future! Lauren Doyle is the local outcast. She's not one to follow any recent trend, and doesn't care what other people think of her, or her family. She's used to being the ostracized one, and the butt-end of everyone's jokes. Lauren doesn't have any friends, but she's okay with that because she loves her husband and her two beautiful children beyond measure. Then suddenly Lauren uncovers an incredible betrayal, now she's determined to stand up to those who have always bullied her once and for all...namely Ciara Dunphy.

A twisty, domestic suspense debut about a clique of mothers that shatters when one of their own is murdered, bringing chaos to their curated lives. Rich's constant referral to those with ADHD as "your ADHDer" doesnt sit right. It gives the impression that those with ADHD are second class citizens, and has an air of ownership about it. Given the majority of the books advice is 'be heavily reliant on someone neurotypical for everything' its not really a surprise.

Tagged detective, female detective, missing person, thriller, William Morrow Gillian McAllister | Just Another Missing Person Intelligent, perfectly observed, more-ish - I devoured it in two days' Poorna Bell, In Case of Emergency Delicious and devious. Bose takes a scalpel to suburban family life, expertly drilling down through the Insta-perfect surface to its dark, messy core. I loved it' Tammy Cohen, The Wedding Party Disha Bose is an emerging voice that stands out in what's becoming a blessedly saturated genre, domestic suspense! If you're craving something along the lines of Desperate Housewives, or Big Little Lies, this one will definitely quench your thirst - I really enjoyed it!You can overcome challenges, ADHD makes certain tasks more difficult, not impossible. If the message of the book wasn't so forced on the "I-know-because-I-got-diagnoses" and filled with advice that is just really bad, I would not have cared either. Ciara has it all - a loving husband, well-behaved children and an immaculate home. But behind the filters, her reality is far from what it seems.

Brakowało mi podkreślenia tego, jak ważna może być profesjonalna pomoc i z jakiegoś powodu nie było ANI SŁOWA o lekach. Lauren and Sean are the outliers to the neighborhood. Everyone has an opinion about them, none of which are good. Poor Laura desperately wants to fit in…but she just can’t help herself.Made us giggle and helped us forge a much deeper connection with our friends and family with ADHD. A godsend!' - Davina McCall & Michael Douglas I know that the author mentioned that it's her symptoms and everybody is different. At the same time I would appreciate some statistics and information regarding how many people actually struggle with things in such an extreme manner. These characters are written well, and were all entertaining in their own ways. The part that threw me until the end was why we were learning everything about these women and what it would lead to. They all had decent stories that intertwined nicely, but it took a long time to get to the big twists and the action. Ciara is the perfectly curated social media influencer with pristine children and a devoted clique of local mums; Lauren is the social outcast, judged for her free-spirited approach to parenting; Mishti, the most empathetically drawn of the three, is trapped in a loveless marriage far away from home. When one of them ends up murdered, the darker layers to their poisonous gossiping and societal performances are inevitably exposed.
