About this deal

The articulation here is the same as we’ve seen on previous Ash figures and that means lots of rotating hinges. While I was messing around with this figure and writing the review I really kept wanting to watch the original film. This NECA Ash 7" scale action figure is highly articulated and has been given the Ultimate treatment and comes complete with four interchangeable head sculpts, chainsaw, mechanical hand, wood hand, hand stump, photo of his car, and shotgun that fits in a back holster so he comes with everything needed to fight a plague of Deadites once again.

ToyFare magazine first came out in 1996 when I was in 7th grade and it was a huge part of my formative years. They mention that it comes with some really good accessories, such as an amazing likeness and all the interchangeable weapons. The elbows are the site of the second issue I have with this figure, too: The range of motion there is fairly limited.

I'm really expecting NECA to put out a second version with a few new portraits and some of those missing extras: The Necronomicon/ Naturom Demonto, the dagger, the shovel, and the axe from the film. Two minor nitpicks are that the shotgun is strangely small (the barrels are as thin as his fingers), and that it doesn't include a base. It actually comes from this promotional shot where Bruce Campbell is clearly a bit older and has a different hairstyle. And I’m really glad they snuck this version in before the end of the series, because it represents what I consider to be two really standout episodes. Adam Perocchi makes custom retro-style action figures based on pop-culture movies, TV shows, and other properties.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Bruce Campbell was much younger when filming The Evil Dead in 1979 and by the time the film was released in 1981 and promotional ads and such were made, he looked quite different. I don't think that's really possible, though, so it's weird for NECA to include accessories for that pose, use that pose on the box, but then not ensure that the figure can take that pose. NECA has given Ash the Ultimate action figure treatment ”he comes with four interchangeable head sculpts, chainsaw, mechanical hand, wood hand, hand stump, photo of his car, and shotgun that fits in a back holster; Everything he needs to fight a plague of Deadites. The 7" scale figure is highly articulated and comes in collector-friendly deluxe window box packaging with opening flap and bonus lenticular cover. NECA, one of many collectable toy manufacturers first utilized the Army of Darkness license with head knocker figures of all things.

Ash Williams, played by actor Bruce Campbell is the lead character in the hit Starz TV series, Ash vs. Since the law of July 1, 2021, we must charge VAT according to the country of destination of the goods. The torso has both an ab crunch hinge and a ball joint under the chest and the neck is ball jointed at the base and where it attaches to the head. Neca presents a new line of 18 cm figurines based on the Starz TV series ‘Ash Vs Evil Dead’, the sequel of the legendary Evil Dead movie series in the 80s and 90s, that tells of the adventures of Ash, 30 years after the events of ‘Army of Darkness’.At first, I was a little disappointed they were going this route, it is a bit of a cliche, but they really sold it to me thanks in no part to some absolutely fantastic acting on behalf of Bruce Campbell and Dana DeLorenzo, not to mention the addition of an adorable possessed Ash puppet. In the company of two work colleagues, he will resume his role as a demon hunter armed with his Remington and his chainsaw. Palisades Toys before going out of business in 2006 produced two series of 4″ scale Army of Darkness figures. In the case of Asylum Ash, you get a really nice portrait with Ash smirking and another with a more grim, downturned mouth.

There's a nice bit of texturing on his shirt and pants that should satisfy anyone dedicated to film accuracy. Of course, Ash’s right arm terminates in his iconic chainsaw, which obviously allowed NECA to reuse the one they used for the original Ash… and the Bloody Ash… oh, and the Ultimate Ash. You also get two different head sculpts, which means not counting the bloody Ash variant, I have a total of six different Ash heads just from the TV series, as two came with Hero Ash and two came with Value Stop Ash. The Kenward County Asylum was the setting for Episodes 7 and 8 of the second season, where Ash woke up as a patient and was made to believe that he was really crazy and that the last thirty years of his life had been a delusion.Hero Ash comes with two interchangeable head sculpts, alternate mechanical hand, and shotgun that fits in a back holster.
