About this deal

I love this book so much honestly didn’t put it down from the second I got it, I read a lot and get fed up when I’m able to predict how the story ends but this had me needing more every time. Elliot seems to be helping Sam but when the prison therapist tricks Elliot by swapping out Sam’s medication and telling him the wrong grounding words, Sam snaps and kills Arthur before dying himself which hurts Elliot as he was genuinely trying to help the boy.

However, Sam the true personality claims to love Arthur which poses some many problems in treating him much to the anger of the prison therapist. It is soon revealed that this is just another elaborate prank which has set Elliot’s nerves completely on edge.

I'm a Therapist, and My Patient is Going to be the Next School Shooter: 6 Patient Files That Will Keep You Up At Night 0. I tried to casually comment that he seemed happier this week, and he told me that he had "figured it all out".

Sure, these aren’t the best stories ever, and some of them are very predictible, but it is a good way of passing the time.

I’m not sure what Harper WANTED this to be, as his genre-confusion was evident in the inclusion of a school shooting at the beginning bookended by attempts at humor and social satire that falls flat. Through a mouthful of cake, Noah handed me a small wrapped gift that he had been hiding under his jacket. It is most definitely unique in the style of writing and the way it's written and it's also mysterious in the way that we don't even know who the real person is behind 'Dr. Elliot at first completely refuses to believe anything Aurora says even when she talks about things that very few people know like Elliot’s father leaving them when he was only a child. However, he quickly figures out that it was a hoax and that Shawn is Maggie and the reason he won’t speak is because his voice hasn’t dropped yet and Elliot helps him come to terms with being himself and being comfortable in his own skin but before Shawn leaves he warns Elliot not to hurt Noah which he doesn’t understand right now.

There were so many twists and turns that I thought I was going to get whiplash, but it made it all the more exciting and page-turning. It is worthwhile mentioning that if the length of this book were any longer, this would have probably been a DNF, but since it was relatively short and straightforward to read, it kept me going.

When the DNA on the new rape comes back, Zach is shown to be the rapist but Elliot refuses to believe it. Anyone who is a fan of mystery and suspense (and a good bit of humor) will absolutely love this book. I really loved how unique the story was… I haven’t read all the books in the world but I’m confident that there is nothing like this out there.
