About this deal

First revealed at the Animation-Comic-Game Hong Kong 2021 expo, Ultimetal Galvatron is a highly articulated 12" figure made extensively from die-cast metal. And by "extensively," we mean about 4 pounds of it. This figure has fewer moving parts and action features than its assortment-partner Ultimetal Rodimus Prime but reaches the same price point through far more metal mass. The figure is sculpted to resemble his anime-styled Studio OX character model, while also including a rifle based on the accessory from the original G1 toy. The arm cannon lights up via LED. Accessories: Left and right fists, translucent right fist, gun barrel (opaque and translucent), saluting right hand (opaque and translucent), "Laser Vulcan", stand, die-cast Megatron Gun accessory (Asia reissue) Highly poseable with 62 deco ops and over 25 points of articulation, Transformers R.E.D. figures were designed to bring collectors the most screen-accurate versions of their favorite characters to display on their shelves Enhance your collection with more collectible R.E.D. figures (each sold separately, subject to availability) SCREEN-ACCURATE DESIGN: Highly poseable with 39 deco ops and 24 points of articulation, this Transformers R.E.D. figure was designed to bring collectors our most screen-accurate version of the character to display on their shelf

While the mass-market release of the Super High-Breed Model line was cancelled, Galvatron eventually saw the light of day as the exclusive toy for BotCon Japan 1997. The figure was initially available in two versions: "standard" purple and a translucent orange "lava bath" version limited to 100 pieces. In subsequent years, at least two more versions of this figure would be released for online sale: one that replaced the orange paint on the cannon barrel with an orange molded plastic piece, and another that replaced the entire purple body coloration with royal blue. He features a new head sculpt with slightly different details and proportions from the earlier Masterpiece, most obvious in his eye now being smaller and a less greenish shade. The hose on his small gun accessory is now made of plastic instead of fabric. Hasbro's print advertisement for this figure (featuring Galvatron in combat with Sideswipe) depicts it with the right arm held away from the body and pointing upwards… which is a pose the toy cannot actually assume, short of digital manipulation and/or breaking and creatively gluing the arm. The ruthless Decepticon leader, Megatron, from The Transformers animated series features a Fusion Cannon accessory, 4 alternate hands including one that holds an Energon cube, and fans can also replace hand with the Energon Mace accessory.

The original Meister version of the sculpt was also released in a Binaltech-only red version ( repurposed into " Zoom-Zoom" by the official Binaltech fiction) and was later retooled into Kiss Players Autorooper. The Mazdaspeed car parts, but with Meister's original head sculpt and left hand, were later used to make the Binaltech-only Argent Meister. This mold was originally developed for Generation 2, but was canceled when that line went under (see previous entry above). Part of Hasbro's Platinum Edition offerings for 2016 intended to commemorate the 30th anniversary of The Transformers: The Movie, this Galvatron is another redeco of the 2008 Universe Deluxe Class figure, meant to be in " movie-accurate" colors but attempting so in a manner slightly different from previous versions. Notably, it features the return of the "mistaken" tank mode paint color on the left arm. It also uses the Decepticon insignia from the live-action film series instead of the Generation 1 variety. SCREEN-ACCURATE DESIGN: Highly poseable with 60 deco ops and 26 points of articulation, this Transformers R.E.D. figure was designed to bring collectors our most screen-accurate version of the character to display on their shelf

For the live script reading of " Shadowzone" at BotCon 2011, Daran Norris was unavailable, so his lines went to Ernie Hudson. Highly poseable with 80 deco ops, Transformers R.E.D. figures were designed to bring collectors the most screen-accurate versions of their favorite characters to display on their shelvesGalvatron's transformation is almost insanely complex for a Deluxe Class figure–and in addition, the toy is notorious for having poor plastic tolerances that make it prone to simply falling apart during transformation.

The left arm is molded in purple plastic to properly match the rest of the robot mode… but is then painted over in tank-mode grey paint, even though the arm is not visible in tank mode at all. The vehicle mode's wheels are molded in the same translucent orange as the cannon, and then painted over with a slightly different shade of orange. Hasbro lead designer Bill Rawley commented at BotCon 2010 that these must have been paint-assignment errors. Designed for Generation 2 but not seeing release before the line's demise, this mold transforms into a Dassault Rafale fighter jet. The figure is a "flipchanger", meaning most of the transformation sequence is an autotransformation, springing into robot mode by lifting a catch. The two halves of the rifle store in the robot's lower legs while in vehicle mode.

Threezero Transformers MDLX Gold Bumblebee Action Figure

There are twenty six points of articulation on this figure. This includes five in each arm and six in each leg. One of the more interesting ones are the shoulders. They can raise upwards instead of relying on ball joints to swing up. This allows the designs of the shoulders to be sculpted like those on the show while still allowing for the articulation. I am also counting the ability of each fist to swing up and down.
