Tap the setting ICON, and you can set-up your recording options. It’s worth pointing out here that the Ninja V doesn’t update your cameras recording settings, so if your camera is set to 1080p, then that is the resolution that will feed through to the Ninja V.

The record tally light on the CONNECT accessory can now be enabled or disabled through the Ninjas menus. Network Record Control is not available when H.265 is selected as the record format when using the AtomX SYNC Module or Atomos CONNECT accessory. Ninja V continues to evolve. If your camera doesn't support 4K, the Ninja V might be a bit overkill as you won't make the most out of the features you're paying for. If you're just after a monitor so that you can view your video easier, the Atomos Shinobi would be a better option and it will save you money.

Ninja V receives the option for H.265 codec upgrade, Ninja V+ - is built for Apple ProRes RAW 8K productions, and Ninja Stream - 4Kp60 HDR for a high-quality social distancing production environment. This new functionality is particularly useful if the Ninja is mounted in a position that is difficult to access, or when COVID safety protocols demand it. Using the AtomX SYNC to connect to the AtomRemote App over Bluetooth also makes seamless, timecode-synced multi-cam productions possible.
