This is one of the most helpful books I’ve ever read. Some of it may not be new to you if you’ve read a bit about self-compassion research or the way our poorly evolved brains cause us trouble. But I still got a lot from how he ties the science and some stories together into what it all means for you (and, at the end of the book, for us as a society). Compassionate to yourself and to others (now more than ever this is needed) and the second part gives you exercises to complete to feel and be more compassionate.
