About this deal

And she goes from wanting to have nothing to do with Miles to wanting to be his wife in too little time. The entire story takes place over the course of about a week and is largely predicated on the fmc, Beth, running away. They are able to overcome their own past by leaning on each other and allowing themselves to trust one another. I know I am a fast reader, but I felt like I read this book super fast, and I just felt like it was because there wasn’t a whole lot of meat to it. Logan is trying to adjust to his father's death, being a single dad, and his new status as a billionaire.

I didn’t want this one to end but am excited to see how easily and quickly Jonathan’s story will continue from this one. She lived by three rules; never lose a cross-country race, never get anything less than an A in class and never talk to Cade Kelley. Then there is the alternating POV that switches between Shelby (MC), Miles (single dad) and Abigail (supposedly new bff of MC) almost every chapter. But, when his mom announced that she couldn't watch Jordan like they had planned, Joshua turned to Beth, his childhood friend who lived across the street. Honestly, it would have made more sense if the characters were young adults considering how immature they were.A well written story that draws you in and makes you want to not put it down, the characters love for their families and the emotional upheaval in their lives really comes to life and has you cheering and almost crying with them. Tbh this book was never in my TBR but i just couldn't sleep and it was the only book that i got in my phone.

Between Beth's mom wanting to keep her cancer a secret from everyone and Josh's mother playing matchmaker, you get a well written plot that will keep you turning the pages to see how this comes out. Just to show you what I mean when I say this man gives me the ick: Somewhere in the story he wants to blow off some steam and gets in to his self-build ‘gym’.

With their past hurt lingering on their minds, both are left to decide if love is worth fighting for or if being together just isn’t in the cards for them.
